Young Filmmakers Showcase 2010 Sunshine Coast

of the Sunshine Coast region.

Free submissions are now open for filmmakers to submit a short film. Selected short films will be showcased at Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas in May 2010.
Films can be up to eight minutes long in any category or genre,
animation, experimental, music clip, narrative drama, comedy or documentary.
Submissions close on the 30th April 2010.
The aim is to unite young filmmakers and inspire future filmmakers by encouraging young people to share ideas, have their voices heard on issues of concern to them, showcase their talents and celebrate their contribution to the community.
This is a free community event celebrating young filmmakers at Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas Maroochydore, Sunshine Plaza, Sunday May 16th 2010, 3pm to 5pm.
Film and Submission details
- To be eligible the submitted film must be accompanied with a completed Submission Form.
- Filmmakers must be under 25 years old as at the 1stJanuary, 2010. Groups may have an Adult Supervisor.
- The Filmmaker must be a Sunshine Coast resident at the time of filming.
- The submitted film must be filmed on the Sunshine Coast.
- Films can be any genre.
- Submission open on the 22nd March 2010.
- Submission close on the 30th April 2010.
- There is no fee to submit your film.
- There are no limits on the number of films submitted. A separate Submission Form must accompany with each submitted film.
- Films must not be longer than 8 minutes in duration including titles and credits.
- Films are to be submitted on DVD (PAL TV format only).
